by the Very Reverend Michel Najim & T.L. Frazier

II. THE DIVINE LITURGY
2.  The Opening Prayer

Just before the opening portion of the Liturgy, the priest says the Opening Prayer: “O heavenly King, Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, everywhere present, and filling all things, treasury of blessings, and Giver of Life, come and dwell in us, cleanse us from every impurity and save our souls, O Good One.”

This is followed by: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will among men.92 (Two times) O Lord open my lips, and
my mouth will declare Your praise.93 (One time)”94
